Community Guidelines

Draft v1 — readable by users, and mapped directly onto the report categories in the app.

These guidelines exist to keep rp-mypersona.com a space where people can create characters, write, and connect without fear of harassment, exploitation, or bad-faith behavior. They apply across every part of the platform — posts, journals, DMs, groups, comments, and asks — whether you're acting OOC or as a character.

1. Respect other users

• No harassment, bullying, targeted mockery, or sustained unwanted contact — toward another user's OOC account, their characters, or both.
• No hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar.
• No doxxing — sharing another person's real name, location, workplace, or other identifying information without consent, even if you believe it's already public elsewhere.
• Disagreements over roleplay direction, ships, or creative differences are not grounds for harassment. Block and move on.

2. Content standards

• Mature themes (violence, morally complex storylines, romance, dark subject matter) are allowed in roleplay and writing across the platform.
• Explicit sexual content requires age verification. Verified accounts can enable NSFW visibility in their settings; unverified users and the public never see NSFW-tagged content or accounts at all.
• Any account that posts explicit content is automatically tagged as an NSFW account. NSFW posts always display blurred with a content warning by default, even to verified viewers, until they separately enable "unblur NSFW" in their own settings.
• Content sexualizing minors is never permitted, in any form, for any reason — including fictional characters written or depicted as minors, "aged-up" framing, or claims of fictional exemption. This is a zero-tolerance policy with no appeal.
• No content depicting non-consensual sexual violence as titillating rather than as a serious narrative element handled with care.
• No gore or violent content intended to shock rather than serve a story.

3. Identity & impersonation

• Do not impersonate another user, another user's character, or a real person in a way intended to deceive or harm.
• Character accounts should make clear they are a persona, not a claim to be someone else's real identity.
• Do not use another creator's original character without permission, or misrepresent someone else's work as your own.

4. Spam & self-promotion

• No mass-unsolicited DMs, asks, or comments advertising unrelated services, other platforms, or content.
• Self-promotion of your own writing/characters is fine in appropriate spaces (your own feed, bio, groups) — not blanket-posted across unrelated threads or other users' comment sections.

5. Reporting

Every post, comment, profile, journal entry, DM, message, and ask can be reported. When you report, you choose a reason:

• Harassment or Bullying
• Hate Speech or Discrimination
• Spam, Impersonation, or Scam
• Content Involving Minors (always reviewed immediately)
• NSFW/Adult Content Outside Allowed Spaces
• Other — with a comment box and optional screenshot upload

Reports involving minors are escalated immediately and reviewed ahead of the normal queue. All other reports are reviewed by the owner and moderation team, who will only ever access the reported content itself — not your full message history. Your identity as the reporter is not shared with the person you're reporting.

6. Enforcement

Consequences scale with severity and pattern:

1. Warning — for a first, lower-severity violation
2. Temporary suspension — for repeated or more serious violations
3. Permanent ban — for severe violations (including any content involving minors, which results in immediate permanent removal with no warning step) or a pattern of repeated behavior after prior warnings/suspensions

Blocking a specific user is always available directly and doesn't require a report — use it whenever you don't want to interact with someone.

7. Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you can appeal through the support contact method. Appeals are reviewed by the owner. Content-involving-minors bans are not eligible for appeal.
